Help for AOL Subscribers

 

Some AOL users are regularly receiving our weekly email newsletters without any difficulty. However, other AOL subscribers are apparently unable to do so. AOL subscriber have 3 options:

1) the best and preferred option is to change your AOL browser's settings to receive our emails;

2) as an alternative, you may log on to our website at www.scaview.org periodically to view recent additions to the website; or

3) as a last resort, you may wish to consider a different service provider. 

First, we will adress the issue of how to change your AOL setttings. A change in AOL's browser settings will most likely allow you to receive our emails since other AOL user are able to do so.

1. Change AOL's settings. Homeowners who subscribe to AOL can change their AOL settings to accept our newsletters. The following two pages illustrate screen shots of the AOL browser and AOL pages, showing how you may modify your browser's settings to receive our email newsletters. Following the screen shots on the Page 1 below (for normal AOL log on screens). Note the highlighted portions that are typically circled.

2. Periodically log on to our website to view recent content additions.

Create your own desktop image for The SCA View. To do so, right click on the image below. From the menu, select "copy shortcut." Then go to your desktop display. Then right click on an usused portion of the your desktop. From the menu, select "paste shortcut." That will place a shortcut to our website on your desktop. If you right click the shortcut, under "Properties," you can give the shortcut a name in the General Tab. The name, for example, The SCA View, will then be displayed along with the shortcut. Anytime you wish to visit our site, merely click on this shortcut.

Or, you can log on to http://www.scaview.org and click on the menu item "TODAY'S ANTHEM VIEW" in the upper left hand corner of the page..

3. Consider a different service provider.

Below is a list of some of the more popular service provider options that AOL subscribers can consider in the event they wish to change from or add to their existing AOL account.

Many of those listed below likely offer FREE email accounts that go along with their regular service. For example, if you are an Embarq customer AND you already subscribe to one of their high speed internet service packages, you can have a free email account. To do so, go to http://myembarq.com and click on the link in the upper right-hand corner called Create Your Account Now. Click on Create Account on the next page. This will present you with two options for setting up service. Select the Start Fresh option. You will be guided through a few easy steps to setup your service.
