Berman's Mouth Runneth Over

Unlike David Berman, who excels at reporting events, there are some in the community who prefer to think and apply their mind to this or that issue, hopefully on point more often than not. Reading David’s latest innuendos directed my way, it’s clear that he has trouble with the type of rudimentary analysis that most Sun City homeowners are capable of performing. David suggests that I must have had some help or advice from others in my recent editorial on the suspicion of wrongdoing that was directed at Rosalyn Berman and Roger Cooper for executing a false document. David's suggestion is ridiculous. Apparently “ethical” David is free to wildly speculate about the extent of my contribution to that issue because it makes him feel better or because he believes he can make some points when there are no points to make.

I insist that any inquisitive homeowner with a modicum of common sense is equally able to perform the same analysis and come to the same conclusions as I did, David’s views to the contrary notwithstanding.

David writes that he would like to dwell on the issue of reporting on the outcome of the City’s arrest of Bob Frank and Tim Stebbins. Well, let him do just that and shut up. But no, he drivels on about irrelevant and invented issues, apparently in an effort to distract others from what really matters. What David was more than willing to overlook in my article was its emphasis on two important issues. They were:

1) whether a rational basis exists to conclude that Berman-Cooper actually forged a document as Police Chief Chambers wrote was alleged by Frank and Stebbins, and

2) whether all prior boards had an unspoken, self-serving motive in ignoring a significant IRS ruling that excess income was taxable if that income were not returned to the homeowner as required by IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604.

David, it seems, would prefer to ignore these issues in favor of his silliness in questioning the authorship of my article.
