The Resignation of Roz Berman
Below is President Roz Berman's statement she read at the August 27th board meeting on her resignation as president from the board.
After being reelected four months ago and continuing as President, I have worked to ease the new Board’s transition by bringing continuity to both the Board and the Association. The newest Board members have now had a chance to become familiar with the breadth of our operations, with the many challenges we face, and with the specific responsibilities each Board member has within the overall governance of Sun City Anthem.
Change is inevitable, and change can be welcome. It is time for me to take a step back, so today I submit my resignation as Board President. As a continuing Board member, I look forward to supporting and working with whomever is chosen to replace me as President.
I have been pleased and honored to serve you as your Board President, and before that as Treasurer and as Vice President. My accomplishments in these positions would not have been possible without the very able support of the RMI management staff, and especially the professional advice I have received from Caren Carrero, first as our Assistant Community Manager and most recently in her well-earned position as Community Manager.
I want to thank the many residents who have raised my spirits with their words of encouragement and positive recognition of my approach to carrying out my responsibilities. I have made many new friends since joining the Board, and I will be forever grateful to you.
My plans are to continue serving the best interests of our wonderful community, drawing upon my intimate and broad knowledge related to so many of the challenges we face.
Sincerely,
Rosalyn Berman
