Blog Registration Process Illustrated
Here is a Step-by Step ILLUSTATION of the Blog Registration Process.
NOTE: You cannot REGISTER using this page. This page merely illustrates the process. In order to REGISTER, you must be on one of the blog pages that accepts resident comments, for example, on the OP-ED page. On that page, you must locate the "Sign-Up" Link, which is located at the bottom of the page. The purpose of this Blog Registration Process page is to familiarize you with the process.
Are You Already Pre-Registered? To find out if you have been pre-registered, Click here. Note, many former blog users (36) have been pre-registered.
1. Sign Up. In the Sign-in space, find “Not a member?” That appears in the lower right hand corner of the form shown below. To Sign Up as a new member, Click on “Sign Up!”
2. User Profile Form. A blank “Create an account” form will appear. Complete the form (illustrated below) for all items where there is an asterisk “*”. Leave the last space “Website URL” blank. After the form is completed, Click on “Register.” NOTE: The "Username" is the name you use to enter the program to make a Comment. The "Display Name" is the name you would like to appear on the page after you have posted your Comment. AT LEAST ONE OF THESE NAMES MUST BE YOUR REAL NAME, LIKE "RON JOHNSON."
3. Thank You. A “Thanks for signing up” notice will appear (see below). Carefully read this important notice. It provides you with critical information on how to complete the registration process. To confirm and activate your account, an email will be sent to the address you provided in your user profile. That email will contain a return Link to activate your membership. Permission to post comments will be granted only after you have completed this authentication process. Click on “Return to the original entry.”
4. The Email. You will receive an email from Ron Johnson at scaview.org. The next and final step in the registration process is to Click on the return Link contained in the email. Doing so will send the needed notification to our Movable Type program. That email will look like the following.
