KITEC

1. Payment Problems

We have recently leaned from a number of sources that Pulte has stopped making KITEC payments in the amount $7,800, presumably even to those who had satisfied the release and inspection requirements. The reasons for not paying are varied. They include 1) you are on the list to get paid, but we have no explanation for your not being paid; 2) you complied with the requirements for payment but were too late in making the submission. As far as we here at The SCA View are concerned, there was never a "too late" time frame explained or announced to the Community; and 3) a decision of the Court has prevented us from paying you at this time.

On the other hand, at the recent Board meeting on the 3rd, someone said that Dea McDonald had said that Pulte was again sending out some checks to some residents. But to who and under what conditions was not made clear.

If those reading this have more recent information about this problem, please let me know so that I can update the Community.

2. Plumbing Options

Please review my updated Replumbing Options page before contracting with a contractor to install PEX. Also, on that page, you need to understand the implications of your decision by examining the Decision Matrix, which you can access by click on this Link: Decision Matrix.

3. Bate and Switch

Some plumbing companies are encouraging homeowners who want the new DZR fittings from WIRSBO, which are designated bronze and are made from a special C314 corrosion resistant alloy, to use Wirsbo's standard yellow brass fittings. Be aware and be cautious of efforts to deceive or confuse you in this critical decision.

4. Copper Option

The all copper option is around the corner for those who are still looking for a copper solution. For those who may be concerned about plumbing with PEX, plastic couplings, or CPVC, there will be what I believe to be an affordable and competitively priced all copper solution very soon.
