President's Report, 20 November 2008
Pulte has provided a Recreation Center 3 status report for the month of November. Building footings were dug, reinforced steel installed and building footings poured. Trenching for water and sewer utilities outside the site was completed. Trenching for water and sewer on-site utilities was started. Excavating for interior and exterior pools is ongoing. Details were finalized for pouring of the pool equipment and trash enclosure pads. Plumbing and electrical piping, which runs under the building slab, is ongoing. The building pad is to be poured by the end of the month. The project remains targeted for completion by the 4th quarter of 2009.

The S&D Café Lawsuit dismissal motion was heard by the Discovery Commissioner on November 5, 2008. The Discovery Commissioner requested that our attorney prepare a Report and Recommendation for the Discovery Commissioner to sign. The report has been submitted to the Discovery Commissioner.

At the October 23 Executive Session, a motion was passed to deny an appeal for reimbursement of foreclosure costs paid for fines and assessments; a motion was passed to deny an appeal for removal of fines for age and occupancy violation; a motion was passed to deny a second appeal to waive fines for age and occupancy violation. The November 13 Executive session was cancelled.

The 2009 SCA Board of Directors candidate declaration deadline is January 30th at 4:00 P.M. There are four open positions for the 2009 election year. The Election Committee will provide information to potential candidates, about the election process and the deadlines that will need to be met at their January 13th meeting.

The December 11 and December 18 Board Executive sessions and the December 18 regular Board meeting are cancelled.
