3) Update to Del Webb / Pulte's REHAU Plumbing System Repair Protocol

1) UPDATES ON SOLERA AT ANTHEM, ANTHEM COUNTRY CLUB, WYETH RANCH
We have selected Plumbing Express to complete the REHAU plumbing system repairs in Solera at Anthem. Over the past few weeks, Plumbing Express has begun contacting Solera homeowners to schedule repairs in this community. Prior to their initial phone contact with you to schedule your repairs, Solera homeowners may also receive a letter from Plumbing Express - the purpose of this letter is to advise that Plumbing Express has been hired by Del Webb/Pulte, to provide some information about their company, and to offer some insight as to what homeowners can expect during their repairs.
We are still in the process of selecting contractors for Anthem Country Club and Wyeth Ranch. We will provide updates for these communities on our next website posting.
As a reminder, United Plumbing is completing repairs in Sun City Anthem, Plumbing Express is completing repairs in Sun City Aliante, Union Plumbing is completing repairs in Club Aliante and Vialetto, and Sierra Brook is completing repairs in Serenata.
2) "AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM PLUMBING REPAIRS, LIMITED WARRANTY FOR REPAIRS, LIMITED RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSIGMENT OF CLAIMS" FORM
Please remember that in order to complete the REHAU plumbing system repairs to your home, you must complete the "AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM PLUMBING REPAIRS, LIMITED WARRANTY FOR REPAIRS, LIMITED RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSIGMENT OF CLAIMS" form. Repairs CANNOT START in your home unless this authorization form has been completed! Additionally, keep in mind that this form also serves as the warranty for your REHAU plumbing system repairs – if a form is not completed, you will not have a record of your warranty.
To view this authorization form online, please go to Del Webb/Pulte's "REHAU Plumbing System Repairs" website home page www.vegasplumbingfix.com, click on the link 'Homeowner's Request for Plumbing Repairs' (located in the top left corner of the page), enter the required information, read the terms and conditions of the agreement for repair, and check the boxes provided to indicate your agreement with those terms and conditions.
We have received many completed authorization forms from the website – thank you to those homeowners who have taken the time to complete this authorization form in advance of their repairs.
As you can imagine, it is taking some time to get through all of the completed authorization forms we have received and update our records with the updated contact information provided to us by our homeowners. We are working through the completed forms as expeditiously as possible, however, we do not want this task to keep repairs from being completed.
When you are contacted by the plumbing contractor to schedule your repairs, they will remind you that the authorization form needs to be completed prior to the start of your repairs. We have instructed our plumbing contractors NOT to start repairs without being provided with a completed authorization form by the homeowner on or before the day repairs are to start. If you have completed the authorization form online, please have a copy/printout of the completed online form available to provide to the plumbing contractor on the day that your repairs are to start.
If you have not completed the authorization form online, or if you do not have a copy of the completed online authorization form available, do not worry - we have provided paper authorization forms to our plumbing contractors completing repairs in our communities. Our plumbing contractors are authorized to provide you with paper authorization forms to complete when they arrive to your home to start repairs. The plumbing contractor will then turn in the paper form to Del Webb/Pulte upon completion of the repairs to your home. If you are completing a paper authorization form even though you have already completed an authorization form online, it is okay - the paper forms contain the same verbiage as the online form.
REMEMBER: REPAIRS CANNOT START IN YOUR HOME UNLESS THE FORM HAS BEEN COMPLETED!
If you have questions in regards to the "AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM PLUMBING REPAIRS, LIMITED WARRANTY FOR REPAIRS, LIMITED RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSIGMENT OF CLAIMS" form, please feel free to call Del Webb/Pulte's REHAU Hotline at 914-4861.
For those of you who had repairs completed prior to this authorization form being available, please complete the form online ASAP to ensure you have record of your warranty. If you are unable to complete the form online, please call Del Webb/Pulte's REHAU Hotline at 914-4861 and request that a paper form be mailed to you (ensure you provide your accurate mailing address if different that the address for the home which was repaired).
3) UPDATE TO DEL WEBB / PULTE'S REHAU PLUMBING SYSTEM REPAIR PROTOCOL
As noted in Del Webb/Pulte's REHAU Plumbing System Repair Protocol included in the 6/5/07 website update, we originally specified that the gate valve at the recirculation line was to be replaced with ball valve DANFOSS Flomatic #5308E, Model 601E, 1/2" Bronze.
At times, our plumbing trades are experiencing shortages of availability of this part. In order to keep this part shortage from delaying repairs, our Research and Development team has worked to identify the following two substitute parts which can be used if the DANFOSS part is not available.
a. NIBCO Model # NS58570D, 3/4" Bronze
b. NIBCO Model # NS58570F, 1/2" Bronze
Because dezincification is a reaction whereby the zinc in yellow brass reacts with chemicals in the water supply, we have had several homeowners ask about the zinc content in these substitute parts. Please note that the zinc content in these substitute parts is 9%. Our Research and Development team's testing and research indicates that brass alloys with zinc content below 15% should not be susceptible to dezincification.

We have had several requests regarding warranty information for Del Webb/Pulte's REHAU plumbing system repairs. Please rest assured, Del Webb/Pulte will be warranting these repairs.
We have added a form entitled "WARRANTY AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM PLUMBING REPAIRS, LIMITED WARRANTY FOR REPAIRS, LIMITED RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSIGMENT OF CLAIMS" to Del Webb/Pulte's "Rehau Plumbing System Repairs" website for homeowners to use to request that Del Webb/Pulte schedule repairs for their home.
To view this form and request that Del Webb/Pulte schedule repairs to your home, you will need to go to Del Webb/Pulte's "Rehau Plumbing System Repairs" website home page, www.vegasplumbingfix.com, click on the link 'Homeowner's Request for Plumbing Repairs' (located in the top left corner of the page), enter the required information, read the terms and conditions of the agreement for repair, and check the boxes provided to indicate your agreement with those terms and conditions.
To ensure that Pulte/Del Webb and the contractors have your latest contact information, the 1st step in the warranty agreement is to have the homeowners verify their contact information. PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THIS SECTION AND ENSURE THAT ALL CONTACT INFORMATION IS PROVIDED!
As previously advised, YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CALL ANYONE - all contractors will call you to schedule appointments.

Dear Pulte/Del Webb Homeowners,
As noted in our previous update, the repair protocol is in place. Repairs and scheduling are in process.
We have selected contractors for the following communities:
1) Sun City Aliante: Plumbing Express
2) Club Aliante: Union Plumbing
3) Vialetto: Union Plumbing
4) Serenata: Sierra Brook
5) Sun City Anthem: United Plumbing (as previously advised)
We are in the process of selecting contractors for: Anthem Country Club, Solera at Anthem, and Wyeth Ranch. We will provide updates for these communities on our next website posting.
REPAIR SCHEDULING:
Repairs will be scheduled in accordance with closing dates, in order from earliest to latest.
Again, the Plumbing trade will be the lead contractor on the job. They will work hand-in-hand with the drywall/stucco/paint contractor to ensure when the plumbing is completed, the drywall, stucco & paint repairs follow shortly thereafter. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO CALL ANYONE – all contractors will call you to schedule appointments. Please continue to monitor the website for updates regarding scheduling [www.vegasplumbingfix.com, password: vegas (all lower case)].
LENGTH OF REPAIR:
The plumbing portion of the repair will take approximately 1-3 business days; the stucco, drywall, and painting repairs will take an additional 4-7 business days (approx). Each work day may not require a full 8-hours, depending on which portion of the repair is scheduled for that day. We anticipate that each home will be without water during the repair process for approximately 6-8 hours; water will NOT be left off overnight.
HOMEOWNERS' RESPONSIBILITIES DURING REPAIR:
Again, we would like to reiterate that the homeowners' responsibilities during these repairs will be to provide access to the home and to ensure someone is at the home during the repair work. We have had several homeowners ask if they could leave a key hidden somewhere or with a neighbor for access – due to liability and insurance concerns, we will not be able to accommodate such a request. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may cause, but wanted to provide you with advance notice to ensure the appropriate accommodations can be made.
