Dave Servello's SCA Security Patrol Notices are listed below.

1.  RAPE:  According to today's news reports, a women was raped within the Seven Hills community.  I got this information 3rd hand, but several persons confirmed that the story was on a local news station.  I was told a female driver was stopped at a stop sign when a rapist gained entry to her car and forced her to drive to another location where she was assaulted.  My point here is to advise all of you to keep the doors to your vehicle locked at all times in the same manner that you fasten your seat belt, and always be aware of who or what is near you or approaching you. Should you forget and some unknown person tries to enter your vehicle drive away at high speed.  Whether that person is injured or not is his or her problem, but you need to get to a location from which you can phone the Police.

2. GRAFFITI:  We took pictures yesterday of a wide range of Graffiti paintings that were located on the Tall Mesa Village Walls south of Hampton Road on the right side going up the hill towards Thunder Bay.  We emailed  the photos to Lt. Brooks of the HPD, and to Terry DaSilva, SCA Association Manager.  Because one of the paintings reflected "BARAK OBAMA MUST DIE", I requested a Police report be completed with photographs and at the same time permission to clean the walls of the Graffiti.  This action was necessary because of the obvious written threat to a high profile Presidential Candidate. Generally, this is Secret Service jurisdiction. Point is that we need to know all of this is the work of taggers, gangs, or racists. In any case we ask that all SCA residents be alert for Graffiti criminals after dark.  Anytime, you see partially finished work (graffiti) in the area and are nearby, phone the HPD, and notify the SCASP office.

3.  IMPORTANT... HOME ENTRY ATTEMPT:  Today, Wednesday, a man phoned a SCA resident and identified himself as a NEVADA POWER REPRESENTATIVE.  He gave his name and phone number as Jeffery Michaels, 756-6906.  This is a bogus number and we  were not able to confirm the name through Nevada Power.  We found that Nevada Power changed it's name to NV ENERGY.  This information provided by Joe Mihalich.  My point is as a reminder to all of you.  There have been numerous attempts to gain entry into SCA resident homes within the past six months.  Some have been preceded by a phone call, but most have been by knocking on the door.  The Security Patrol is in the process of trying to control solicitors (with SCABOD approval), and if we are successful it should diminish some of this other activity.  Point is to advise all residents to IDENTIFY AND CONFIRM the identity of all persons before you allow them entry to your home.
