Shower Head Adjustments
If you would like to gain a few extra inches in shower height, a few 1/2 inch PVC couplings, some PVC cement and, shazam, you are there.
The first thing you must do after removing the existing shower head is to rotate the water inlet pipe to the upward position, as shown in the picture. To perform this task, insert a large diameter pipe or screwdriver into the pipe and firmly but slowly rotate the pipe 90 degrees in a clockwise direction until the pipe faces upward.
From there, it's a simple matter of a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot to obtain the necessary parts and cement and go to work. No special skill is required and the work is no different than installing or repairing a broken sprinkler line back home before coming to Nevada.
The only addition to the standard shower head is an optional flexible hose and attached handheld shower head, which attaches to a three way valve that permits you to redirect the water.
