Nearly 300 residents attended two meetings in Freedom Hall on November 26 when detailed results of the community-wide Trumpets survey were presented.
Here is a summary of the results.
- 1,829 residents took the survey.
- 96% of respondents said we should have a restaurant in Anthem Center.
- 73.2% of respondents said we should lease the venue to a professional restaurateur.
- 57% said breakfast should be offered.
- 96% said lunch should be offered.
- 96% said dinner should be offered.
- 45% said take-out should be offered.
- 80% think it is appropriate to spend $5 to $9 for breakfast, before beverages, tax and tip.
- 20% favor $10 to $15 as the amount they think is appropriate to spend for breakfast.
- 48% think it is appropriate to spend $5 to $9 for lunch before beverages, tax and tip.
- 52% favor $10 to $15 as the amount they think is appropriate for lunch.
- 28% think it is appropriate to spend $8 to $14 for dinner, before beverages, tax and tip.
- 44% favor $14 to $20 as the amount they think is appropriate for dinner.
- 28% favor $21 or more as the amount they think is appropriate for dinner.
- 83% think the restaurant should offer a Happy Hour.
- 42% say the restaurant should offer entertainment.
- 84% say the restaurant should be open to the public.
- 79% say the restaurant should offer catering.
- 53% favor keeping the name "Trumpets."
- 67% oppose video poker in the bar.
- 26% eat out 0 to 7 times per month.
- 46% eat out 8-15 times per month.
- 28% eat out more than 15 times per month.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) goes to the Board for approval at the December 4 Board of Directors meeting. A copy of of the RFP should be available to residents on the community website during the day on Friday, November 30.
