REPAIR PROTOCOL
PRIOR TO REPAIR: Plumbing contractor will conduct pre-work inspection and document Quality Assurance (QA) sheet on each home.
All Wirsbo C360 yellow brass fittings, where copper piping transitions into Wirsbo, will be replaced with Wirsbo C314 red brass fittings. These locations include:
Please note that will be necessary to cut into the drywall, cabinetry, and/or stucco to make the repairs. Pulte/Del Webb will be responsible for returning your home to the condition prior to the repairs having been made.
GARAGE / EXTERIOR:
1) Recirculation pump replaced with TACO brand recirculation pump with built-in check valve.
2) Replace valve at recirculation line with Legend brand bronze ball valve
3) Flush system and hot water tank and clean aerators (as necessary) adequate to provide adequate water flow throughout.
INTERIOR (Living Space):
1) Remove and replace all brass and brass-related angle stops throughout the house. Remove and replace supply lines of fixtures (sinks and toilets) as needed throughout the house. Use ACCOR angle stops and plastic lines with plastic nut.
2) Laundry box shut off replaced with Barnett bronze valve.
LENGTH OF REPAIR: The entire repair will take 7-10 business days including inspections by the municipality after plumbing and insulation, drywall nailing, lath (if needed), and final. Each work day may not require a full 8 hours. We anticipate that each home will be without water during the plumbing repairs for approximately 6-8 hours; water will NOT be left off overnight.
Again, we would like to reiterate that the homeowners' responsibilities during these repairs will be to provide access to the home and to ensure someone is at the home during the repair work due to liability and insurance concerns. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may cause.
The Plumbing trade will be the lead contractor on the job. They will work hand-in-hand with the drywall/stucco/paint contractor to ensure when the plumbing is completed, the drywall, stucco & paint repairs follow shortly thereafter. All contractors will call you to schedule appointments.
