Although it is not addressed in the contract with S&D cafe, the orginial liquor license was owned by Del Webb while they ran the resturant. I believe they transferred the license for free to S&D cafe. I believe the liquor license should be returned under the same conditions that S&D cafe received the license. If it was free--then free, if there was a cost, then sell to the new resturant operators at the same price. The millionaire owners of S&D had three years of no expense for utilites and did not pay their rent, I don't think they should make any more of a profit from SCA residents.

You said in your editorial ;
“What should the Board do now? Initially, at a minimum, the Board should consider authorizing Mr. Dixon to contact Michael Mushkin, legal counsel for S&D, for the purpose of determining whether S&D would be willing to return their liquor license to the Association.”
You have to be kidding! – Expecting Mike Dixon to effectively deal and negotiate with Michael Mushkin would be the equivalent of allowing Larry – the Cable Guy – to write your last will & testament.
