On the use of the trail by others. At this time I would suggest we do not open the trail to anyone but residents.
After rec center #3 is complete we can revisit the request by the city.
My thoughts are to not get involved with the city!
Perhaps, Mr. Lyons is not informed on the negative impact his neighbors in Shadow Canyon, Desert Sky and the new section of Black Mountain Village are experiencing right now with the trash blown all over their yards, the breach in their security of outsiders coming in to walk their dogs along the trail without cleaning up after them, the increase of traffic where the 5 existing parking spaces are sorely inadequate and they are parking two abreast on Shadow Canyon, that this trail is advertised nation wide on at least 7 web sites that we have located, that the City of Henderson has called a meeting and invited ONLY the Hiking Club to meet with them, thus ignoring the residents that will be further severely impacted by their plans.
None of us dreamed we would have to pick up the garbage strewn along this area on a daily basis when we bought into the lifestyle we paid dearly for, nor have to pay for outsiders utilizing the property that we pay to maintain through dues and taxes! I am wondering if Mr. Lyons is that calloused in not caring about the hundreds of homeowners impacted, which far outnumber the members of the Hiking Club?
I think this is another idea that we can live without. For a picnic bench with a roof we give an easement forever to the city of Henderson. After all of the excitement about a church being built next door to Sun City, why in the world would you want to invite 30,000 new residents from Inspirida to come and visit us on Shadow Canyon. Speaking as a Shadow Canyon Resident, this is another bad idea.

I think the trailhead developement project is a great idea!Lets not allow the concerns of a few members living in the area where the trailhead project is to be built, stop the project which is for the benefit of all of us living here!
