Ron Johnson is to be congratulated on his following of the facts on the amazing sequence of board failures and mismanagement on the Liberty Center project.
Someday, we may all need to collaborate on building a complete history of that facility--starting with the 2002 Master Plan changes where the community was promised a 3rd recreational center and $1.375 million in cash or a co-gen facility in return for agreeing to the loss of 3 golf courses and many other changes in the Master Plan It is hard to imagine a more convoluted and mismanaged facility project.
Meanwhile, we know there are some individuals who were Board Officers (President, VP and Treasurer) and serving on the Finance Committee at various times who are most likely to be called someday to officially reveal and testify about the 3rd Rec. Ctr. financial secrets. This long list includes, but is not limited to, Favil West, Bob Berman, Kay Dwyer, David Weil, David Berman, Mike Dixon, Roz Berman, Roger Cooper, Shirley Cheri, Jack Troia, Dan Forgeran and Pulte Executives Dea McDonald and Jeremy Fritz.
As the huge, mounting costs to our members to complete the construction for this so-called "green" facility becomes much better understood by the project history and the SCA budgets, some members may want to try to recover some of the community losses on this matter.
